Together against animal suffering
Millions of animals live on the streets worldwide. We at HelloBello don't look away – we help!
OFF THE STREETS
Our vet Sarah Schneider in full action on site!
To get an accurate picture of the problem and to be able to help on site ourselves, our vet Sarah travelled to Crete and captured her experiences on camera.
NEUTERING IS ANIMAL WELFARE!?
HelloBello helps sustainably – because neutering can prevent animal suffering.
Extensive neutering campaigns repeated over defined periods have been shown to reduce the growth of dog or cat populations. Neutering a single female dog can prevent this:
NEUTERING ON CRETE
One vet, 18 days, 278 neutered street animals.
There, together with the animal welfare organisation "Tierärztepool Deutschland", she neutered dogs and cats. Sarah spent 18 days on site supporting Tierärztepool with the neutering on the island. A total of 278 animals were neutered during this time.
WHAT LOOKS LIKE A HOLIDAY AT FIRST GLANCE HIDES THE SILENT SUFFERING ON FOUR LEGS. ESPECIALLY IN HOT COUNTRIES, DISEASES SPREAD FASTER AMONG ANIMALS.
NO MATTER HOW CUTE THEY ARE, A SAD FUTURE FULL OF SUFFERING AWAITS THEM IF NO ONE TAKES CARE OF THEM.
IF A FEMALE DOG IN HEAT IS NEARBY, THE MALES FIGHT BRUTALLY AND BLOODILY, SOMETIMES EVEN TO THE DEATH. THESE WOUNDS CAN LEAD TO DANGEROUS DISEASES.
CATS AND TOMCATS ARE EQUALLY AFFECTED BY DISEASES, TERRITORIAL FIGHTS AND ACCIDENTS.
FULL COMMITMENT ON A VOLUNTARY BASIS
IN CRETE, GREECE
101 STREET DOGS SUCCESSFULLY NEUTERED
177 STREET CATS SUCCESSFULLY NEUTERED
HERE'S HOW YOU CAN HELP!
You want to help too but don't know how? For example, you can:
- With your HelloBello fresh food delivery, you actively support animal welfare – because HelloBello helps!
- Ask the animal shelter in your town whether they're looking for volunteers
- Collect donations in kind such as blankets, leashes or dog harnesses
- Organise fundraising campaigns
- Donate money to reputable organisations
- Foster an animal until it finds a permanent home
- Adopt an animal and give it a home (if all the circumstances are right!)
- Talk to other people and raise awareness of the problem

Little scaredy-cat Molly is still a sly one. When it comes to socks, she can hardly contain herself and pinches them from her owner Alexa. That's how Mollie got the nickname Dobby. Dobby loves socks!
