HelloBello Helps: With Fresh Food and Heart – Our Commitment to Animal Welfare (in October 2024)

In October 2024, HelloBello once again demonstrated how important animal welfare is to us with the " HelloBello Helps" initiative. Through targeted donations, partnerships with animal welfare organizations, and participation in local events, we actively support animals in need. Our goal: to provide tangible, long-term support to animal shelters and animal welfare projects, directly improving the lives of animals. From fresh food donations for animal shelters to joint events, the HelloBello Helps program goes beyond animal food and aims to make a real difference.

The  HelloBello Helps initiative represents our commitment to providing sustainable support to animal welfare organizations nationally and internationally. Our goal is to improve the quality of life for many animals in need through practical assistance and long-term support, while actively promoting animal welfare in society. We do this through regular donations, whether by providing our high-quality fresh food or offering financial support. This enables our partner organizations to ensure the daily care and well-being of the animals in their care while also improving the quality of their animal food.

In addition, HelloBello is involved in various animal welfare projects and initiatives. Through this close collaboration, we not only provide immediate assistance but also promote the long-term development of sustainable animal welfare structures.

A special highlight in October was the 13th Vienna Animal Welfare Run under the motto "Running for a Good Cause". Around 5,000 visitors gathered in the Prater to show their support for animal welfare. People of all ages came together to show their support for animals in need with every meter they ran.

The HelloBello Helps team was also there: Our team members Dila, Stephan, and Anita started the race with enthusiasm and actively contributed to the run's success. All proceeds from the event benefit various animal welfare projects, making the commitment of everyone involved even more valuable.

The animal welfare run also featured a colorful range of accompanying events. In addition to a selection of vegan food and drinks, visitors could learn about animal welfare at information booths and receive advice on various topics. There were also numerous activities for children, making the day an unforgettable experience for all ages.

Another important HelloBello Helps project in October was the donation to the Munich Animal Shelter, which is highly committed to the protection and care of domestic and wild animals. The shelter cares for around 1,000 found animals and 4,000 surrendered animals each year and also does important work for seized animals, including victims of animal cruelty or illegal trade. The wildlife station is of particular importance, where injured and orphaned wild animals receive medical care and are prepared for eventual release. The shelter's work is largely funded by donations, which provide an essential foundation for maintaining its care and support services.

On October 17, 2024, HelloBello supported the Munich Animal Shelter with a donation of around 350 kg of high-quality fresh food and 30 supplements  for the dogs at the shelter. This donation enables the team to feed freshly prepared meals and significantly improve the quality of their nutrition. Especially for many of the older and more vulnerable dogs, the fresh food means a welcome improvement in their daily care.

In the coming months, HelloBello Helps will remain committed to animal welfare and continue to expand its support. For example, a major food donation to Tierschutz Austria is planned for November—in an even larger quantity than before, to optimally prepare the animals for the cold winter months. This donation will enable more animals to be provided with healthy, fresh food for a longer period.

Another highlight follows in December, when the HelloBello team will personally volunteer at an animal shelter in Bosnia. On site, we will support the team with the daily care of the animals, work on projects to improve their housing, and thus directly improve the quality of life of the animals there. This hands-on support is particularly important to us, as it goes beyond a simple donation and enables sustainable improvements.

In addition, through HelloBello Helps, we plan to continue providing regular food and material donations to our existing partner organizations, such as the Munich Animal Shelter and other facilities, to offer them stable, long-term support. Our goal remains to promote the valuable work of these organizations and together improve the lives of animals in need step by step.
